Dear DPG Local Leaders,
We are in the home stretch of the 2025 legislative session, and Georgia Republicans are making a late push for some of their most dangerous priorities – including voter suppression. It may be an "off year", but Georgia Republicans are still hard at work trying to undermine our elections and keep voters away from the ballot box. Senate Republicans are considering a voter suppression omnibus bill, H.B. 397, that would resurrect the pro-Trump State Election Board's failed power grab from last year. Read on for instructions on how you can advocate against this disastrous anti-voter bill.
Meanwhile, this week, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced a massive voter purge that will kick 100,000 Georgia voters off the rolls because they have been "inactive" for two federal election cycles – a "use it or lose it" approach to a fundamental right.

We have assembled a toolkit for you to use to call or email your Senator and ask them to oppose H.B. 397. Please help us stand up for Georgia voters and ensure this anti-voter bill does not pass!
Weekly Messaging Guidance
Georgia Republicans know their extreme agenda is failing Georgians, so they're falling back on voter suppression tactics to keep us from holding them accountable at the ballot box.
- Georgia Republicans never rest in their mission to make voting harder for Georgians, and they're back at it with a new voter suppression omnibus called H.B. 397.
- This bill is a second attempt to enact the priorities of Donald Trump's proclaimed "pit bulls for victory".
- These changes will undermine the fairness and accuracy of our elections and keep people from the ballot box.
