PSH QUALIFICATION – VERIFYING YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION STATUS & COUNTY COMMISSION

Scroll down to County Districts (County Commission) to locate which County Commission you reside in (i.e., 1-6). For example, District 1-2 North Fulton, District 3-4 Mid-Fulton, and District 5-6 South-Fulton.
POST SEAT HOLDER ELECTIONS
Post Seat Holder (PSH) elections will take place during the Fulton County Democratic Party Committee (FCDPC) business meeting on June 11, 2026. Anyone interested in running for a PSH position, including current post seat holders seeking reelection, must attend the June 11 meeting and complete the PSH application (Affidavit) no later than 5:00 PM on June 9, 2026.
WHAT ARE POST SEAT HOLDERS
Post Seat Holders are the voting members of the Fulton County Democratic Party Committee (FCDPC). Holding a Post Seat gives you the authority to vote on formal business conducted at FCDPC Business Meetings, as well as in party elections such as those for Officers and State Committee Members. Post Seat Holders are also eligible to run for many of these elected positions.
The voting body consists of 175 Post Seat Holders: 25 Democrats from each of the six County Commission Districts in Fulton County, plus one At-Large District. Post Seat Holders are selected through a caucus process.
WHY ARE WE HOLDING PSH ELECTIONS
Because the State of Georgia held its General Primary Election on May 19, 2026, the FCDPC is required to conduct Post Seat Holder elections for designated seats during this Gubernatorial election year. The FCDPC must also hold post-seat elections for any seat affected by redistricting.
POST SEAT HOLDER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Post Seat Holders constitute the voting body of the party and are entrusted with several key responsibilities, including:
- Supporting efforts to elect Democratic candidates
- Attending party meetings and participating in party initiatives
- Serving on FCDPC committees
- Identifying qualified individuals to run for public office
- Assisting with fundraising and development efforts
- Volunteering for committees and special projects
- Helping coordinate events and fundraising activities
- Engaging in GOTV operations such as phone banking, canvassing, literature distribution, and Election Day support
- Volunteering on campaigns or serving as poll watchers or poll managers.
