The three regions of Fulton County as outlined in the Fulton County Democratic Party Committee (FCDPC) bylaws are North Fulton, Mid Fulton, and South Fulton. Each region has a Region Chair responsible for grassroots organizing, voter engagement, and campaign execution.

According to the Fulton County Democratic Party Committee (FCDPC) bylaws, Regional Captains are referred to as Region Chairs, and they are responsible for grassroots organizing and campaign execution within their designated regions. Their duties include:

  • Conducting voter registration, persuasion, and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts.
  • Assisting with candidate recruitment and filling Post Seat Holder positions.
  • Leading community education and outreach initiatives.
  • Working in consultation with the Field Director to execute grassroots efforts in alignment with the strategic plan.

Regions Served by Regional Captains

There are three county regions within Fulton County, each with its own Region Chair:

  1. North Fulton Region
  2. Mid Fulton Region
  3. South Fulton Region

The region boundaries may be reviewed and updated by the three Region Chairs in consultation with the Field Director and the Chair. These boundaries remain in effect until any new changes are unanimously approved by all three Region Chairs.

North Fulton Region

  • Covers the northernmost part of Fulton County.
  • Includes cities and communities such as:
    • Alpharetta
    • Johns Creek
    • Milton
    • Mountain Park
    • Roswell
    • Sandy Springs (northern portion)
  • Focuses on mobilizing suburban voters, increasing voter registration, and engaging new residents.

Mid Fulton Region

  • Encompasses the central portion of Fulton County.
  • Includes major areas like:
    • Buckhead
    • Midtown Atlanta
    • Virginia-Highland
    • Inman Park
    • Old Fourth Ward
    • Portions of Southwest and Northwest Atlanta
  • Efforts in this region focus on high-turnout initiatives, progressive policy advocacy, and engaging young professionals and college students.

South Fulton Region

  • Covers the southern part of Fulton County.
  • Includes cities and communities such as:
    • East Point
    • College Park
    • Fairburn
    • Union City
    • Chattahoochee Hills
    • Palmetto
    • South Fulton (city)
  • Organizing efforts emphasize voter turnout, community organizing, and maintaining strong Democratic support.

Each region’s boundaries are subject to review and approval by the three Region Chairs, the Field Director, and the FCDPC Chair.
