Fulton County Will Not Be Intimidated Out of Our Power

A man in a suit speaks at a podium with the U.S. presidential seal, flanked by the American flag and the presidential flag in a gold-curtained room.

Fulton County voters will not be intimidated out of their power. We will organize, we will defend democracy, and we will vote. Doubt is their strategy. Turnout is our answer.

Last night, President Donald Trump used the nation’s highest office to tell Americans that their elections cannot be trusted. He cited enormous numbers, invoked foreign governments, attacked voting equipment, questioned voter rolls, condemned mail ballots, and accused public servants and intelligence officials of participating in a vast conspiracy.

Fulton County recognizes this playbook because we have lived through it. Make a technical issue sound like a scandal. Ignore the safeguards already in place. Repeat allegations after they have been investigated and rejected. Attack the public servants who refuse to validate the lie. Then use the manufactured distrust to demand more power and place new barriers between voters and the ballot box.

What he did not provide was evidence that a single ballot in Fulton County was changed, that any vote count was manipulated, or that the outcome of the 2020 election was altered. Trump’s claims conflicted with numerous previous intelligence assessments, election reviews, audits, recounts, and court findings that confirmed the result.

Trump’s speech also revealed the purpose behind the fear. His SAVE America Act would impose documentary proof-of-citizenship requirements for voter registration and a federal photo-identification requirement for voting. He separately called for ending most mail voting, despite offering no evidence that mail ballots have produced widespread fraud capable of changing an election.

After several major networks declined to carry the address live on their primary channels, Trump called their decisions part of a “plot” and suggested that broadcasters should lose their licenses. Threatening the press for making independent editorial decisions is not election security. It is an attack on democratic accountability and the freedom of the press.

We will not answer fear with silence, and we will not surrender our power to conspiracy theories. We will answer with facts, preparation, turnout, and sustained community organizing. We will defend election workers who perform difficult public service under relentless political pressure, and we will continue demanding elections that are secure, transparent, accessible, and accountable to the people.

Fulton voters should understand that their vote is powerful. That is why Republicans want you to doubt it.
