Fulton County Dems Monthly Meeting

STATE DELEGATE ELECTIONS

If you would like to be a delegate to represent the Fulton County Democratic Committee at the State Convention, state delegate elections will be held at the August Committee meeting on August 11 at 7:00 pm. If you are interested in running for a delegate spot or an alternate spot, please complete the delegate form. You must also attend the August 11, 2022 Fulton Dems monthly committee meeting.

Delegates will be voting members at the state convention to adopt resolutions and our party platform. The Fulton County Democratic Committee is allotted 44 delegates and 22 alternates. You do not have to be an elected committee member or a post seat holder to run for a delegate spot. The delegate eligibility requirements are as follows:

1. A Fulton County registered voter, and
2. Must physically reside in Fulton county.

Delegate Election Process: Two caucuses will be held to elect 44 delegates and 22 alternates to represent Fulton County along with the current Fulton Dems State Committee Members who serve as delegates as well.

The first caucus will be held from 7:15 pm – 7:30 pm. During the first caucus only elected committee members and post seat holders will vote by electronic ballot for 22 delegates and 11 alternates.

The second caucus will begin at 7:35 pm or immediately following the close of the first caucus if it ends later than 7:35 pm. During the second caucus, the general public, elected committee members, and post seat holders will vote by electronic ballot for the remaining 22 delegates and 11 alternates.

Everyone who is elected as a delegate or alternate is required to sign the Georgia State Convention Delegate & Delegate Elector Affidavit to attend and participate in the State Convention on Saturday, August 27th, in Columbus, GA.
