ELECTRONIC CAMPAIGN FILING

Fulton County uses the Easy Campaign Finance Portal to receive campaign documents electronically from Candidates and Elected Officials for Fulton County offices.

Easy Campaign Finance Registration Instructions:

  1. Click Register at the top of the page. 
  2. Under User Account Info, from the “Candidate or Committee you represent” drop down menu, choose New Candidate
  3. Select a Position: Filer/Self
  4. Select an Office, Candidate Type: Candidate
  5. Enter your name and other contact information and click Next at the bottom.

Once registration is complete, our office will receive notification to approve your request.

Once approved, you will then be able to electronically file the following:

  • Declaration of Intent (DOI) – file with local county filing officer before accepting campaign funds.
  • Register Committee (RC) – to register and name Campaign Committee
  • Exemption Affidavit Not To Exceed $2,500 – file with local county filing officer if candidate does not plan to spend or receive over $2,500.
  • Campaign Contribution Disclosure Report – File with local county filing officer if spending or receiving more than $2,500 as listed in the filing schedule.
  • Personal Financial Disclosure Report – due to local county filing officer within 15 days of qualifying

Candidate Qualifying 2022

Qualifying Period: March 7, 2022 through March 11, 2022, for a Political Party Candidate to file a Notice of Candidacy to have their name placed on the General Primary Ballot O.C.G.A. §21-2-153 (c)(1); and for a Nonpartisan Candidate to file a Notice of Candidacy to have their name placed on the General Primary/Non-Partisan Ballot, O.C.G.A. §21-2-132, 21-2-172, 21-2-187.

The General Primary will be held on May 24, 2022, and the General Election will be held on November 8, 2022.

Qualifying Dates and Times:

  • Monday March 7 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday, March 8 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday, March 9 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Thursday March 10 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday, March 11 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

GET A VOTER ID

Do you or someone you know need an ID to vote? If you do not have one of the six acceptable forms of photo ID to vote, you can get a free ID card from the Department of Driver Services Office or one of the Registration Offices listed.

Items Needed for Free Voter ID
To receive a voter identification card, the voter must know their:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Last four digits of their Social Security Number

If the voter is registered to vote in Fulton County, the voter then fills out an application for the free voter ID card.

Georgia law allows for six acceptable forms of ID, which include:

  • Any valid state or federal government issued photo ID, including a free ID Card issued by your county registrar’s office or the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS)
  • A Georgia Driver’s License, even if expired
  • Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state
  • Valid U.S. passport ID
  • Valid U.S. military photo ID
  • Valid tribal photo ID

Absentee Ballot Application Request Deadline

The last day to submit an application for an absentee ballot for the November 2, 2021 Election is October 22, 2021. You can submit your Absentee Ballot Request Application:

Via Portal
Submit your absentee ballot application online using the Fulton County Absentee Portal as a .pdf or .jpg. The maximum file size is 5 MB. The file should be high resolution and legible (minimum file size of 1 MB is recommended). Each submission must have only one application. 

Via Email
To submit an absentee ballot application via email, attach the application as a .pdf or .jpg. The maximum file size is 5 MB to Elections.Absentee@fultoncountyga.gov. Only one application may be attached per email.

Hours

Early voting in Fulton county begins on Dec 14 and ends Dec 30. Registered voters can go to ANY early voting location within their county.

During the first two weeks hours are:
Monday, December 14 to Friday, December 18
Monday, December 21 to Wednesday, December 23
8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

During the final week of early voting, hours are extended:
Monday, December 28 to Wednesday, December 30
7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Saturday Voting:
Saturday, December 19 and December 26
8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Sunday Voting:
Sunday, December 20 and December 27
12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
